Susan Boyle Sings “The Way We Were”

daily recordYet another old home video has surfaced of Susan Boyle singing, and this time it’s from 1984.

The Daily Record has struck again!  This time they located a video of Ms. Boyle singing Barbra Streisand’s hit “The Way We Were” at an amateur night in 1984 at the Motherwell FC’s Fir Park Social Club.  It sems she was a last minute replacement for someone else in the competition that pitted locals against visitors from a Midland’s Club.

While you can tell she was a bit shy at first, her confidence grew as she went on singing.  This video doesn’t have an exact date, but it is known it is from 1984, making her either 22 or 23-years-old at the time it was recorded.

Kudos to the Daily Record as this is the third recording they have unearthed thus far.  The first was her charity CD recording of “Cry Me A River”, and the other was her auditioning for My Kind of People.
