Videos Of The Britain’s Got Talent 2009 Finale

britain's got talent logoBritain’s Got Talent is all wrapped up for 2009, and we know you all want to see the videos of the finale.

First up is the dance troupe Diversity that ended up winnint the entire contest.  There is no denying that they are talented, and I have no clue how anyone fling their body around like the little girl does.  Quite impressive.  I am sure if you are on this site that you are a fan of Susan Boyle, but you have to give credit where credit is due.

Next up was Ms. Boyle, and she returned to the song that started it all, “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables.  The delivery was perfect, and she can’t be faulted for it.  During the post performance talk, they did address the stories from this week in vague references, but they did bring them up.

And here is the announcement of the winner of the show. Ms. Boyle does make a few comments, all of them gracious, and Diversity performs their dance again.

Make sure to check back here for future updates on Susan Boyle!

Susan Boyle came in second place on Britain’s Got Talent.  The ultimate winner was the dance troupe Diversity.

This doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve heard the last of Ms. Boyle as her receiving a recording a deal is almost a certainty.  We’ll continue to post here as long as we can keep finding information on her and what her future plans are.

Susan Boyle In Semi-Final Round 1 Of Britain’s Got Talent

susan boyleAt long last, it’s time for Susan Boyle’s second appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.

It’s hard to believe the world was introduced to Susan Boyle a mere six weeks ago, but it’s true.  Now it’s time for the semi-final rounds of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, and that means that Ms. Boyle is back on the stage to fight for the prize of performing for the Queen.

She performed “Memories” from the famous musical Cats, and except for a very slight warble in the opening lyrics, it was a spectacular rendition that not only got a standing ovation from the audience, but also from all three judges… yes, even Simon Cowell.

Since this is where the public enters in to the voting process, it would be shocking if she did not make it past this round and into the finals.  Since those of us here in the United States have not seen anywhere near all of her competition, it is hard to judge just how stiff the competition will be, but judging from this performance, they had better be pretty good.

Susan Boyle Auditions For A Talent Show In 1995

daily recordBritain’s Got Talent wasn’t the first time Susan Boyle auditioned for a talent show it seems.

The Daily Record unearthed a home video shot of Susan Boyle auditioning for Michael Barrymore’s My Kind of People back in 1995.  The audtion was held at the Olympia Shopping Centre in East Kilbride, and was caught on camcorder by the 18-year-old daughter of one of the other contestants.  Michael Barrymore, a well-known comedian in the UK, mocked Ms. Boyle as she performed, and even attempted to look up her skirt as she sang.  To Ms. Boyle’s credit, she kept on going without missing a note of the song.

Oprah Wants Susan Boyle On Her Show

oprah winfrey and susan boyleNot all that surprisingly, it appears that Oprah Winfrey wants Susan Boyle on her show at some point in the future.

According to Marc Malkin at E!, Oprah’s producers have expressed interest in Ms. Boyle appearing on the show in Chicago, but the people at Britain’s Got Talent have said that sort of thing won’t be happening until the show is over.  Seeing as she was on the first audition episode of the series, she has another six weeks to go before she appears on the live semi-finals episode.

At this point, even if she doesn’t win the series, I think it’s pretty safe to say that Ms. Boyle is still going to have some form of career ahead of her just on the back of her Internet popularity.  Will Oprah still want her on the show if that is what happens?  I think it’s pretty safe to assume that she will indeed.

Stay tuned for more details.

Susan Boyle Says “No Comment” To Mail Suitors Question On The Today Show

today show logoYet another TV appearance for Susan Boyle, this time it was on NBC’s The Today Show.

This morning Susan Boyle joined Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira via satellite from her home in Scotland for yet another interview.  This poor woman has to be just about interviewed out at this point!  The nice thing was that before her itnerview, they showed a pre-recorded bit with Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden about the Ms. Boyle’s sudden rise to fame.  The good news is that she says they have no intention of doing a make-over on Ms. Boyle as they don’t want to add that pressure on her.

It’s a good interview, with a nice surprise visit by Paul Potts, the winner of season 1 of Britain’s Got Talent towards the end of it.  He compliments her performance and tells her he thinks she is doing a wonderful job keeping a level head through out this entire ordeal.  If anyone can relate to this, he certainly can.

Here is the video, sorry that it won’t play outside of the USA.  If the player below isn’t working, you can find it here.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Ms. Boyle will be appearing on the CBS morning show, The Early Show this morning.  She will be singing from her kitchen in Scotland during the performance, but no hint yet on what she will be singing.  Hopefully it will be different than her “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables she performed on Britain’s Got Talent the other day.

As soon as we can locate a video of the interview, we will be bringing it to you right here on this blog.  Hopefully it won’t take us long, but  we implore you to stay tuned for it!
