Susan Boyle Performs “Wild Horses” On America’s Got Talent
Susan Boyle hit the American television airwaves for the first time live tonight, and she did not disappoint!
The rumors we reported last week of Susan Boyle appearing on America’s Got Talent were indeed true! Ms. Boyle fulfilled yet another of her dreams by performing in the United States of America for the first time, and it was only fitting it would be on the American counterpart of the site that launched her to international stardom.
Appearing before a cheering crowd, and Piers Morgan, one of her biggest supporters, Ms. Boyle performed the Rolling Stones classic “Wild Horses” as it will appear on her debut album due in November, I Dreamed A Dream. If this is a hint to how the rest of her album is going to sound, it seems like it will be an interesting take on some modern classics coupled with her powerful voice.
Without further ado, here is the video from her appearance tonight on the show, and we couldn’t be happier with how she sounded, how the audience reacted and also that she looked healthy & rested!

The current season of America’s Got Talent is about to wrap up, and according to People, Ms. Boyle is taking time off from finishing her album (due out Nov. 24th) to appear on the cousin show to Britain’s Got Talent.
She has apparently had two fittings this week for the dress she will wear, but there is no word onw hat song she will perform. Our guess is “I Dreamed A Dream”, but you never know for sure.
The season finale airs on September 16th, be sure to check your local listings for the exact time. It is nice to see that another one of Ms. Boyle’s dreams, that being to perform in the United States, is about to come true!

Susan Boyle Interview Preview From Today Show
Susan Boyle is finally starting to surface again, and on July 22nd they ran a portion of an interview with her conducted by Meredith Vieira for The Today Show.
The snippet is only somewhat revealing in that we get a look at her new look (this is a makeover done right, it’s not over the top and she keeps some of her essential qualities), found out that she is 100% for sure recording an album with Simon Cowell serving as producer and that she seems to be in good spirits generally. All of this is welcome news, especially about her health.
The intriguing thing about the album is she won’t go in to any details, but it does sound like it is not going to be 100% show tunes, if it will have any at all. Hopefully we will be hearing about the album in the very near future.

Susan Boyle Released From The Hospital
Susan Boyle has been released from the hospital.
We reported the other day that Susan Boyle had been taken to the hospital for observation, as weall as some rest & relaxation. The good news is that she has been released, and it looks like she is much happier and more together now.
She spent the past few days at The Priory in London, and was spotted out and about today, even taking in a bit of clother shopping. According to her brother Gerry, she is indeed much happier, and is going to be spending some time at an apartment in Britain’s capital.
We chose not to cover the numerous rumors of the past few days, most of them unflattering, because they were just that, rumors. All that matters is she did get some help and she does appear to be returning to her old self now. As for what the future holds for Ms. Boyle, her brother Gerry says that it does look like that she does indeed want to persue some sort of singing career.

Videos Of The Britain’s Got Talent 2009 Finale
Britain’s Got Talent is all wrapped up for 2009, and we know you all want to see the videos of the finale.
First up is the dance troupe Diversity that ended up winnint the entire contest. There is no denying that they are talented, and I have no clue how anyone fling their body around like the little girl does. Quite impressive. I am sure if you are on this site that you are a fan of Susan Boyle, but you have to give credit where credit is due.
Next up was Ms. Boyle, and she returned to the song that started it all, “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables. The delivery was perfect, and she can’t be faulted for it. During the post performance talk, they did address the stories from this week in vague references, but they did bring them up.
And here is the announcement of the winner of the show. Ms. Boyle does make a few comments, all of them gracious, and Diversity performs their dance again.
Make sure to check back here for future updates on Susan Boyle!

Fame Begins To Weigh On Susan Boyle
It seems that the weight of fame is beginning to weigh on Susan Boyle.
According to the Sun, the finalists of Britain’s Got Talent are staying at the Wembley Plaza Hotel in North London, and that Ms. Boyle has had a few rather large outburts that involved her cursing and ranting.
The first came during the performance of 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi. Ms. Boyle was in the hotel bar watching the show, and as Shaheen began to perform, a bus load of tourists asked for her autograph. She asked them to wait until he finished, but as he finished, it seems Ms. Boyle took offense to judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan heaping praise on the youngster. She reportedly stood up, yelled “F*** off!”, three the “V” sign (the British version of the American middle finger) and stormed off. All of this was said to be done in eye sight and hearing range of the young contender’s family and friends. Ms. Boyle has denied this story thus far.
The second event came just yesterday afternoon when Ms. Boyle began screaming at some guests in the hotel lobby that she claimed were trying to “wind her up”. This incident got the policemen stationed at the hotel who had a talk with Ms. Boyle outside on the sidewalk. Witnesses claim you could see she was still quite livid as she was talking with the police, and repeatedly would point and stab her finger.
This morning Piers Morgan took to his own blog and came to Ms. Boyle’s defense.
The pressure from sudden global success can be enormous.
Everywhere you go, people recognise you and want a piece of you – an autograph, a photo, a quick song, a chat to their mum on a mobile phone.
You can’t got out any more without being mobbed in the streets. You can’t nip down the supermarket for a pint of milk or go to the paper shop.
That pressure, too, can take its toll on close family and friends. They don’t know quite how to deal with it either. Suddenly they’re all caught up in this insane, relentless goldfish bowl.
All the fun of being propelled into international acclaim starts to disappear. And you start to feel jittery, self-conscious, paranoid, and fractious.
Then imagine, too, having all this go on when you are days away from the final of a competition that can make or break your career and your life.
A competition that everyone expects you to win, a fact that in itself piles on even more pressure.
This is exactly the situation that Susan Boyle now finds herself in.
Mr. Morgan goes on for quite a bit longer about his feelings on this situation, and he says that the pressure has gotten to a point that Ms. Boyle has considered quitting the competition.
We here at SusanBoyleFandom.com have actually worried since the beginning that all of this might end up being too much for her. No one can take this sort of sudden attention without it beginning to weigh on them. Mr. Morgan mentions how some blogs have said nasty things about these reported incidents, and I have to say you won’t find any of those here. Sure it would be nice if they hadn’t happened, but it is honestly understandable with the amount of pressure being put on her.
We wish Ms. Boyle nothing but the best in the upcoming final round, and we hope she will stick it out.

Susan Boyle In Semi-Final Round 1 Of Britain’s Got Talent
At long last, it’s time for Susan Boyle’s second appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.
It’s hard to believe the world was introduced to Susan Boyle a mere six weeks ago, but it’s true. Now it’s time for the semi-final rounds of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, and that means that Ms. Boyle is back on the stage to fight for the prize of performing for the Queen.
She performed “Memories” from the famous musical Cats, and except for a very slight warble in the opening lyrics, it was a spectacular rendition that not only got a standing ovation from the audience, but also from all three judges… yes, even Simon Cowell.
Since this is where the public enters in to the voting process, it would be shocking if she did not make it past this round and into the finals. Since those of us here in the United States have not seen anywhere near all of her competition, it is hard to judge just how stiff the competition will be, but judging from this performance, they had better be pretty good.

Oprah Snags Her Susan Boyle Interview
Oprah is getting her wish sooner than anyone thought she would!
As we reported last month, Oprah Winfrey wants to interview Susan Boyle, but it looked like she was going to have to wait until Britain’s Got Talent was over to get that wish. Now, according to Entertainment Tonight, Simon Cowell is coming on Oprah’s show to address the rumors he is leaving American Idol, and also to showcase Susan Boyle amongst other talents he has helped discover.
Make sure to check your local listings for the episode to air Monday May 11th entitled ”The Oprah Winfrey Show: The World’s Got Talent.” There is no word if Ms. Boyle will sing, but I can’t imagine that she won’t. And, yes, she will be appearing from her home in Scotland, just like she does in about 90% of here television appearances. Oh well, maybe we’ll finally see Cuddles.

Susan Boyle Sings “The Way We Were”
Yet another old home video has surfaced of Susan Boyle singing, and this time it’s from 1984.
The Daily Record has struck again! This time they located a video of Ms. Boyle singing Barbra Streisand’s hit “The Way We Were” at an amateur night in 1984 at the Motherwell FC’s Fir Park Social Club. It sems she was a last minute replacement for someone else in the competition that pitted locals against visitors from a Midland’s Club.
While you can tell she was a bit shy at first, her confidence grew as she went on singing. This video doesn’t have an exact date, but it is known it is from 1984, making her either 22 or 23-years-old at the time it was recorded.
Kudos to the Daily Record as this is the third recording they have unearthed thus far. The first was her charity CD recording of “Cry Me A River”, and the other was her auditioning for My Kind of People.
